Hello people, this week has been a continuation of the house that we measured up so I drew up sections and elevations of the house. Its been a very short week, quite peaceful too because there have been very few people working due to the holidays thus most of the employees had the entire week off and it was really empty. Well, a fantastic long weekend to everyone.
Later days.

Week ending April 22nd
This week myself and 2 other students (Ghaarith and Andrea), along with an architect from our firm went to an existing house on Monday in order to measure it up and provide information on the state in which it is in for a survey that is needed for a Group called Noah which provides homes for independent elderly people. This week I drew up the plan of the house.
Week ending April 15th
Hey all, my apologies for not blogging as of late but I have not had any internet access and its been quite a hectic past 3 weeks. The week ending on the 15th did not really have any set things going on so I was all ove the office helping out other teams with data information.

Week Ending April 8th
Hey everybody, hope you're all healthy and well as you read this. This week has been pretty relaxed. Didn't really do any office work this week as our new project only commences next week so I took the liberty to do some sketches for my sketch book as well as continuing with the new hub design for my submission today. I have learnt some valuable through research for my design. Hopefully the new project starts next week and I will give you all updates on what happens with it.
So from me to all of you - Joy and health !!

Site Week
This week started off with a meeting on Monday with 2 clients who need to have 12 properties measured, drawn up and possibly refurbished and 1 being possibly redesigned for homes for independant elderley people. I also went on site to Hermanus for the Hermanus Hospital upgrade. There were 2 meetings, a technical and empowerment meeting. The technical one involving costs, structural issues as well as movement of a troublesome Telkom line which is in the way of trenches being dug for the extension of the hospital basement and the empowerment meeting involving the employment opportunities for skilled and semi-skilled workers (labour) on site, training of the workers and the type of training involved. Also this week, I was involved in the drawing/ cadding up of a 4th floor plan for a new hospital in McGill. Its been a mixed week of balancing work, redesigning my hub, sleeping and that other important component - staying healthy.
